    Finally decided to give DREDD a watch and I have to say, this movie surprised me. It was like watching the comic come to life. The plot was solid, the action and violence were gratuitous, this was an overall excellent movie. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

    Great Action Flic. True to the Comic, and very Well done. The special effects really were done very well and overall the film was Good. I would have to say a Perfect Flick for a Night in just to Blow off some steam with a Beer. Fantastic. Buy it outright, and save yourself what you would have spent to rent it; cause after you watch your going to buy it anyway.

    Though Dredd has many cheesy moments, the self-satire is funny as hell and the visuals are very impressive. The violence is kind of an issue but its good enough.

    Seriously . . .

    Go see this movie in the theater before it's gone. ALL the reviews I read about this film were confirmed. Robocop violence and gore, decent acting, not bad story line. It's is by no means corny in anyway, this movie was done so much like the comic book it would make any Punisher fan go mad with envy that their movies didn't turn out as good. This movie is going to BOMB badly at the box office, so go see it if you like action films.

    Dredd was absolutely thrilling, the female bad girl is brutal and scary. The action scenes are also pretty baddass. You will not get bored watching this one.

    Interesting remake

    It sure was an interesting remake. The special effects were great. Funny how Dredd never takes off his mask/helmet & the side-kick never puts hers on. Liked how the opening commentary sets the stage for the movie.
