I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I SAW THE FIRST DAY IT CAME OUT! ME & MY FRIEND WERE THE FIRST PEPOLE IN THE MOVIE THEATER! BEYONCE WAS AMAZING!!! I LOVED JAMIE FOXX!!! THE MOVIE WAS GREAT!!!!!

Complete Bore!

This movie is on my bad list...i will never watch it, think of it again! The acting was horrible, and the whole movie was just bad. I fell asleep during this movie, and my time was better spent sleeping than watching this movie. It is so very slow that you would lose interest within the first couple of minutes. Beyonce needs to pick better roles or better yet, just stick to singing...she is better that way. Eddie Murphy just needed to say NO! His acting along with everyone else was just horrible. I love Jamie Foxx, but this movie was just bad!!!!

UNBELIEVABLE

I had seen the original Bway production. A neighbor was in the orchestra and took me back stage to meet the cast. The reason it took so long to make was they didnt have anyone to play Effie, cause no one wanted to work with Jennifer Holliday again the BIGGEST B*&%H ever on broadway. Well Jennifer Hudson was better in the film which followed to show very closely. Only thing I missed was the missing Its No Party song sung by the Lorelle character which was a showstopper in the bway show when sung by Loretta Devine (she has a song in the movie) who when I went backstage was so sweet to me - signed my playbill, not like FAT Jennifer B@#*&H Holliday who when I was introduced to her as a neighbor of one of the orchestra said "So" and walked away. Funny isnt it that the PIG has no career cause no one wants to deal with her.

How is it possible that I have a 21 year...

Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx were great. Jennifer Hudson also stole the show. I enjoyed the music and the outfits. It dragged a little in parts but was an enjoyable way to pass the time.

Dreamgirls is an absolute triumph.Filled with phenominal acting by Jamie Foxx,Beyonce,Eddie Murphy,and the whole entire cast,great plot and story,and one of the best soundtracks,if not the best soundtrack ever,this is simply a movie you have got to see.Like my review for Volver,I saw this movie twice in theatres,once in the shows where you paid $25.00,but just now got to write my review.This movie is fantastic,and I found to be a bit more enjoyable than Chicago.The acting by Jennifer Hudson was simply groundbreaking,she stole the show!To sum it up,this is just a fantastic movie you should see as soon as you can.Prepare to be dazzled.
