I think demonic/possession movies are all the same. Not this one. I watched this movie several times because I expected not to like it and then wondered why I liked it when everyone else didn't. It addresses the disgrace of being shamed in some cultures and placement of curses as a result. Some thought scenes were funny- I thought they were creative- what would u do if u were attacked in a car with no weapon? Use whatever u got. This movie is so creative and fresh. Scenes are unusual in the way the horror is delivered. They don't use mirrors, jump scenes, or guts to impress the audience. The actors did an excellent job and the flick had a good story line. My only criticism is that the ending was predictable for me. I still re watched it twice. If you are looking for torture porn or bloody entrails then this movie is not recommended. If your looking for a soft horror film about curses/possession then I recommend this film. It was definitely better than most possession horror.

Stupid Gross But Really Funny
Drag Me to Hell was nothing more than I even expected. I knew this movie was going to be sort of a typical, old school type of movie with the whole plot and script. It reminds me of an older Stephen King movie. The visual effects were less than impressive throughout the movie. The first few scares were well worth it but later on in the film it got less exciting and the story line trailed. I did like the acting from Lohman, I thought she done a pretty good job for this type of movie. The ending of the movie really was exciting and if the whole movie had been that interesting I would have enjoyed even more. I am glad I had low expectaions because I probably wouldnt have enjoyed at all if I had. Its not the worst movie I've ever seen, but it could have been so much better.
