    awesome movie!

this movie is really great for a number of reasons. a nice combination of slapstick and ridiculous exchanges of dialoge, plus the seriousness of the subject of nuclear war. this is a classic, must-see movie!

    Brilliant Black Comedy

Stanley Kubrick's 1964 masterpiece, DR. STRANGELOVE remains one of most hysterically funny dark movies EVER made! The subject matter is now of course legend. The performance by all are still staggeringly good - none more so obviously than Peter Sellers whose dedication to his artistry and craft is perfectly utilized by Kubrick in 3 totally unique and amazingly inspired performances! The quotable lines are never-ending as are the scenes of absolute insanity run amok with he threat of nuclear holocaust dangling in the air ( or on "the big board"). Again - try to see this one in a revival house with a game audience - you will enjoy it 10 times even more as the lunacy levels surmount shatteringly high volumes of laughter clocking in about one every 20 seconds or so... Brilliantly paced and spotlessly directed by one of the authentic masters of the cinema! NOT TO BE MISSED BY ANYONE SERIOUS ABOUT FILMS OR FILM MAKING!!! Or acting for that mater ;)
