The buzz word for Don Jon is in the title of the review. Any guy ages 18-25 ish can completely relate to this movie, especially those of us privileged enough to have that crazy ex. The movie centers around the theme of meaningless sex, which is immensely prevalent in society. I loved the relations it made to real life. Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a great job as a writer, taking witty stabs at family life, religion, relationships and routine living. The message that "Don Jon" discovers is simple and universal: Don't get trapped by routine, live different, make life mean something.
The film was spot-on in its details relating to younger men. It managed to focus on romance without being mushy or uncomfortable, which results in a rare, guy-friendly romantic movie. Overall, it was great, funny, witty and, most important, felt very real.

This movie was surprisingly good, and funny, but there are A LOT of nudity scenes in porno's that caught me off guard at first, but you realize how they are meant to really get you to understand the main character....But we forewarned, if you don't want to watch a porno with someone, than don't bring them to this movie with you....good for a movie out with your best buds, or your lover....

This movie was ok. Me and my friends went to see it and we were laughing at some points but pretty much the whole trailer was like the movie, the movie is real repetitive, how many times do I need to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt walking down a hallway to go to the gym? If you were really excited for this movie as I was then I would say don't get your hopes up. If you really want to see this movie I HIGHLY recommend waiting for redbox, on demand, netflix, etc. This movie was like a 4/10 for me.

My wife and I went to see this lame film and neither of us liked it at all. Pretty weak story line.......same stuff throughout = BORING.

This is the story of a narcissistic fellow who falls for a girl more narcissistic than himself. The premise is funny and it's fun to learn about the lifestyle and quirks of the hero. But in the end, he takes a turn that you would never expect. Worth seeing, but left me wanting more.
