Not what you think

Although definitely an R rating for sexual content, the message of the movie has high moral value. 'So great to see a movie that addresses the issue of porn addiction and gives understanding to it.

Way too Jersey Shore for me

We only caught the first 30 minutes of the movie as an alarm went off in the theater and we were evacuated... we looked at each other and said, Thank God! We did not wait for the all ok to see the rest. The characters were just not likable and the porn clips, sex scenes and church scenes got obscene and redundant. The family dinner table scenes were just plain sad. I really hoped the movie would be more entertaining because I like all of the actors... maybe it would have all made sense if we had seen the rest of the movie, but glad I didn't have to!

Not for everyone, but nonetheless a fantastic writing/directing debut for Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

If you love Joseph Gordon-Levitt and want to try and figure out for yourself how he was able to function properly enough to still say lines and direct in his scenes with Scarlett Johansson, then I suggest checking this out. Oh, it's an awesome, funny movie with much heart, too. Joseph Gordon-Levitt shows what he can behind the camera as well as in front of it in his writing/directing debut.

The accents and the constant use. Of "Baby" when referring to each other really got on my nerves. It was just too much. It ruined the otherwise cute storyline. I ended up leaving. I'll watch the rest on Netflix one day in pieces....

Interesting story

I found the movie interesting, and the characters were real enough, though I though the accents used by the characters was a little heavy, but it didn't detract from the story. It wasn't the comedy I thought it would be. Being catholic, I found the confessional scenes amusing (though not exactly accurate). I liked the sister, though she only had a few lines in the entire movie. She appeared to be obsessed with her phone, until she made a great observation about the main female character. The only real problem I had with this movie was the excessive foul language. I understand using foul language in real life seems to be an everyday thing for some people, but I was hoping the movies would avoid what has become excessive profanity in everyday conversations.
