    BOYCOTT THIS MOVIE!!

Just saw this movie and I gotta say it was terrible. There is nothing funny about slavery yet Tarnitino made light of it throughout this movie. To all moviegoers, black, white, brown, man, woman, or child save your hard earned money. This movie set blacks and the human race back 100 years.. This movie was very offensive and I am shocked Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington signed on to play in this movie. They really should be a shame of themselves as much as I am ashamed that I spent 3 hrs of my Christmas watching it. My wife and I are very open minded but Quentin went over the line in this movie. Dont see it please.

    NBombs

    by hsennet

Django Unchained - cast well and superb acting, however it could have had 200-300 less N Bombs. Gunfight, N-Bomb, N-Bomb, Gunfight, N-Bomb. Tarantino is obsessed w/N-Bombs. Strike 1. After Inglorious Bastards "Nazi Hunter"... now he has a Slave turned Bounty Hunter movie. I was curious to see how this was accomplished and found he's defined a new genre: Retroactive Politically Correct Revenge flicks. If that's your thing - check it out, otherwise you can skip this one.

    terrible

    by gb7

The casting line up couldn't be better but the movie was terrible. Jaimie Foxx is usually a very good actor but his character was way too arrogant for the movie and for most of the film his attitude was unnecessary. There was no need for the movie to be so long - way too much wasted time. Overall if you're into ****** movies go and see this one. This film is proof that Quentin Tarantino should stop making movies.

    A Total P.O.S

I went to see this movie and it was the ABSOLUTE WORST P.O.S I've ever seen. How dare Tarantino make a comedic mockery of such a horrible time in African American history. The movie had NO entertaining or historic value. Spike was right to BOYCOTT this movie, do NOT waste your time or money seeing it, it's dehumanizing, degrading and offensive. It diminishes the suffering of those that endured it.

Jamie, Keri and Sam Jackson lost a LOT of respect, I cant believe they were that starved for a role to participate in something so vile. I see why Will Smith turned the role of Django down, some things should be off limits.

    Propaganda Film

    by jajmd

This is Tarantino's political anti South, anti white propaganda film.....and this from a Tarantino fan. He has Christoph play the identical character from Inglorious Bastards and even uses the same trick of speaking a different language so that the group around him will not understand the plan. Why repeat the same scene and charter.

This is basically southern slave owners substituted for Natzis. Natzis, however, focused on the animation of the Jews and domination of other countries. While I have limited knowledge of southern slavery, I doubt this is how most slave owners treated their 'property."

    Thumbs down.

    boycott violent movies

Hollywood is promoting the American culture of violence. Boycott this movie if you wnat the gun glorification culture to end. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

    Save your money.

Tarantino's 'success' delving into the realm of political-correctness with his 'Inglorious Bastards' has spawned yet another eye-roller that will take you but 20 minutes to see the writing on the wall in six-foot high letters: OH NO! ... I SHOULD HAVE SAVED MY MONEY!

    Django

    by nvirgil

this movie is extremely degrading. at no point will i ever find it amusing to watch black people being beaten, called niggas, or talking as if they've never set foot in a place of higher learning. Slavery was real and i didn't see the need to try and make humor or real life situations as he did. i would never buy this movie on blu-ray or dvd and i wouldnt show it to my kids!

    Walked OUT

No...don't go see this movie. It is just horrible to watch. The bloodshed and disregard for anything decent is just above and beyond. Actually had to leave the theatre for one of the first times in along time.
    Not recommended at all.

    loss of interest/way to long

This movie was pretty boring to me in my opinion. It lacked excitement, nothing really that would make me recommend this movie. Im aware its a Quentin Tarantino film, but thats obvious. He does the bare minimum to show that, the acting couldve been more better as well. I think i laughed once during the movie and thats it. Save your money and watch something else. This movie was veryyyy long too, so that made it even worse in my opinion.

    DJANGO

The trailer did this movie no justice. We went in to see this movie with an entire different outlook on what to expect. It was totally a must see movie. Jamiee Foxx & Kerry Washington were amazing. Tarantino is the best director, DiCaprio is amazing as is Don Johnson. This a definate Oscar nominee. Everyone must see & a definate DVD collector.

A really bad movie really well done

    by

This movie is a DOG. Disguised as an homage to spaghetti westerns, it is actually a black exploitation movie in the mold of Shaft. It's a cartoon full of one dimensional white villains for Django to kill. The dialog is not only hopelessly anachronistic, everyone, including the white gentry, spout profanity as if they're from the '80s ghetto. We are presented with Django the slave, who never having ridden a horse, is instantly an expert rider, and ends the movie with Roy Rogers style dancing horse tricks. We are presented with Django the slave, who never having held a rifle or pistol, is instantly a crack shot and the "fastest gun in the South".
Because Tarantino is Tarantino, all the actors turn in outstanding performances as if there was a ?there? there. The movie is embarrassing and Tarantino and all the actors in it should be ashamed of themselves.

    Django Unchained: Weak

Django Unchained is a lazy movie. That?s not to say it is bad in either sense of the word?bunk shite or kick ass. It is lazy because it fails to deliver the magic that a Tarantino film usually promises.

And what does a Tarantino film promise? Dialogue. Humor. Blood. Samuel L. Jackson. The first three are a'ight. As for Samuel L. Jackson, he?s Samuel L. Jackson playing Ninja Ninja who?s playing a house slave in the late 1880?s.

I don?t even want to get into the use of The Word. I thought it was gratuitous, but it wasn?t the weakest link in this movie. There?s enough lacking in this film to be disappointed by. If you are offended by The Word, it feels like it is every third thing said. In a 2 ½ hour Taranitno movie that?s a lot of words. Prepare to be pissed off.

Is it worth seeing? Yeah, but don't pay more than matinee.
