Typical Tarrantino film. Lots of blood, long and funny to some but stupid to others! Will not see it again. Didn't hold a candle to Pulp Fiction and can't imagine it being nominated for any award!

This film is a sadistic exhibition of gratuitous violence, packaged in a macabre and ghoulish manner and delivered to an audience under the guise of entertainment. The coldness of its long series of gruesome murders, coupled with the obvious attempt at mocking the ugliness of slavery, combined to have utterly disgusted this viewer. While accustomed to Tarantino's genre and bearing no illusions at what to expect in terms of violent content going in, even so, I found this film was violent and ugly on a level far removed from the physical, much unlike the dark comedic emphasis present in Tarantino’s “Machete.” Instead this one was just gruesome, physically and morally, with nearly nothing to offer in entertainment value to any normal person. This one is more or less a type of blood porn, far uglier and deviant than your typical ‘slasher’ fare. Save your money. If this sort of vicarious experience entertains you, it might be wise to seek the help of a mental health professional.

Django Unchained - cast well and superb acting, however it could have had 200-300 less N Bombs. Gunfight, N-Bomb, N-Bomb, Gunfight, N-Bomb. Tarantino is obsessed w/N-Bombs. Strike 1. After Inglorious Bastards "Nazi Hunter"... now he has a Slave turned Bounty Hunter movie. I was curious to see how this was accomplished and found he's defined a new genre: Retroactive Politically Correct Revenge flicks. If that's your thing - check it out, otherwise you can skip this one.

Very funny movie, and for a two hour movie you would never know because if keeps moving. There are no lag spots like some movies of this length. DO NOT take young children to see the movie very adult well some adults

This movie is a DOG. Disguised as an homage to spaghetti westerns, it is actually a black exploitation movie in the mold of Shaft. It's a cartoon full of one dimensional white villains for Django to kill. The dialog is not only hopelessly anachronistic, everyone, including the white gentry, spout profanity as if they're from the '80s ghetto. We are presented with Django the slave, who never having ridden a horse, is instantly an expert rider, and ends the movie with Roy Rogers style dancing horse tricks. We are presented with Django the slave, who never having held a rifle or pistol, is instantly a crack shot and the "fastest gun in the South".
Because Tarantino is Tarantino, all the actors turn in outstanding performances as if there was a “there” there. The movie is embarrassing and Tarantino and all the actors in it should be ashamed of themselves.
