Funny, great acting, a spaghetti western, with a few surprises. A Western which takes in pre Civil War South, where the bad guys get their due. The audience loved it and applauded at the end.

No...don't go see this movie. It is just horrible to watch. The bloodshed and disregard for anything decent is just above and beyond. Actually had to leave the theatre for one of the first times in along time. Not recommended at all.

QT does it again. I will admit, this movie is not for everyone but if you have seen other QT movies, you will enjoy. The way the movie was shot, the soundtrack which is probably one of the best I have ever heard, and the casting was all great! Jamie Foxx and Chris Waltz are a great team and Samuel Jackson is to die for. It is very graphic as all of his movies are so leave the kids at home. This is worth seeing on the big screen and I know that others will agree.

Yes it's violent, but this is Tarentino at his best. The constant sense of outrage at the behaviors of the period driven characters is perfectly tempered by the absurdity of their beliefs and actions. The emotional whipsaw of hilarity; then violence and sometimes violence AS hilarity was nothing short of genius. Remember how conflicted we all felt watching the unhinged; unapologetic violence of Pulp Fiction while laughing so hard it left us dazed and confused? Well Django is an all-out thrill ride that demands you pay attention to the incredible injustice that was and in all to many instances, still is rampant. Anyone upset by the 100+ utterances of the "N" word-trust me; it's use is more than balanced by the sheer ignorance and ineptitude written into the character portrayal of the slave owners and those who supported the institution. This is the most fun I've had at a movie all year. What a way to end or start the year. See this movie; early and often! Thanks Quentin.

I didn't really care for the movie. I've never really been a fan of Quentin Tarantino's movies anyway except for Kill Bill 1 and 2. Its not horrible but I wish I had waited until DVD. Too long to sit through in a theater. The blood was over the top as usual with his movies. There were some parts that made me laugh but mostly I just wanted to close my eyes during certain scenes and wait for them to be over.
