There's No Way this movie is going to be any good than the book. I read all wimpy kid books and I'm a big fan but the movie NO WAY. They got the cast all wrong. First of all they using little kids to play Teens. And Greg is 11 but this guy is how old? 8. and they got a long hair to play him. Greg only has short hair and not the only one. Rodrick is a short hair punk but they got a long hair for him. And Greg dad's Frank. They also use a long hair guy to play him. The only good ones is Fregley and Rowley. They pick a perfect actors for those two. But the rest sucks. ****** 20TH CEANTRY FOX. Why couldn't Waners Brothers be producing tha movie. they did a perfect job turning the book Harry Poter into a movie. But 20th ceantry fox they ruin the fantastic 4, Dragon Ball evolution, and now they are going to ruin Diary of a wimpy kid.

This is going to be one of the best movies of 2010. Those that say it isn't are foolish! The kid who plays Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) is the best actor of them all and the most believable. From the trailer, this is going to be a very funny, entertaining family movie. Everyone I have spoken with about the movie agrees. Looks like it is going to be a big hit on the big screen and my whole family has read the books and can't wait to see the moviet!!!!!

Overall I liked the movie. In fact, my entire family liked it. The acting was great, the character development, the special effects.... There were two things that proved to be detractors to me, however. Sometimes the images moved too quickly. My eyes could not follow them, and it nearly made me nauseous to watch. But my main beef was the magazine. It was okay to have it in there, but the cover should not have appeared on screen so many times. This movie was rated PG, and the picture on the cover of the magazine was inappropriate for the rating. Maybe if it had been shown briefly one time, and then we see the back of the magazine, or we see the mom holding it, but the mag is only partly in the picture or not at all. Once we've seen it, we know what it is. We don't have to keep seeing it. You know, mom makes the son apologize to women for owning the mag, yet she holds it up for the world to see. It is for that reason that I will not purchase the DVD when it comes out.
