Once you get past the fact that the kids sing Ke$ha and run around in underwear and have unsupervised high school parties, it's really got some good, decent messages for kids about the importance of family. My 9-year-old loved it and I thought it was entertaining.

I went with my 8-year-old who has read all of the books and we had a great time. He was able to enjoy the movie because of the amount of comedy and I was able to enjoy it because of the comedy:) It was money well spent.

This was a good family movie. It presents a plot that teaches a childhood lesson without actually letting the children in the audience know they are learning a lesson. It has several scenes that many kids can relate too. It was very funny to both the adults and the kids. Like the little touches too, for example that Greg's hair sticks up all the time, and that his clothes are not designer. Like the realistic look of the characters. Look forward to the next Wimpy Kid movie.
