This lesbian drama is patterned after the romantic melodramas of the 1940s. It is set in Vancouver, BC and centers on rising stand-up comic Sheila Caston, and her lover, Julie, who owns an art gallery. The two have been living together in Sheila's home for five years. The trouble begins when Sheila learns that television producers are thinking about creating a TV sitcom around her comedy. But Sheila's elation is short-lived when she sees that the producer's wife and business partner is her former friend Lynn. When Sheila and Lynn were girls they had been very close until Sheila made a sexual move on Lynn who flipped out and rejected her. Sheila could not cope with it and ended up staying in a mental health facility. Now Lynn is here and she wants to talk. The electricity between the two is palpable, but neither of their lovers are aware of the history Lynn and Sheila share. Emotional turmoil ensues culminating in a happy ending. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
