Great Family Movie

I'll admit that I have a enormous soft spot for "single dad of daughters doing the best he can" movies and I love the minions. That being said, this movie was a fun summer romp for a family with plenty of humor that both adults, teens, and children could appreciate.

Nowhere near as good as the first one.

Very disappointed in the sequel. I was really looking forward to this film as I was so pleasantly surprised with the first movie, but this was just a shell of that movie.

When you love a movie so much you try to brace yourself for disappointment when you watch the sequel. Don't worry about that with this movie. It was the rare case where the sequel is actually better than the original. I loved it and so will any Despicable Me fan.

We took the grandchildren, ages 5 and 8, to see this movie because they LOVED the first Despicable Me. This sequel lived up to their expectations as well as ours! Clever animation with engaging 'reformed' villains who save the day. Plus, there is a little romance to cap off an entertaining film. Recommend this for children 4+, parents, and grandparents, too.

99% liked it ... but

Again, as good (maybe even better) than the first. My son (9) loved it and there were some really funny parts that kept us adults laughing. My only thumbs down (and it occurs more and more with kids' movies today) is the farting and burping that is now mainstream. I DISGUSTS me that Hollywood seems this low-brow humor is entertaining for kids. To me it promotes kids supporting and doing these behaviors. Other than that...Great Movie!
