    DEATHTRAP = Non-stop Twists & Turns

    Sydney Lumet's ingeniously "opened-up" film version of Ira Levin's masterfully puzzling 5 character Broadway thiller hit DEATHTRAP is a terrific old-fashioned murder mystery with several modern tune-ups. First off you start with the deliciously diabolical plans of a has-been playwright ( Michael Caine in fine form ) who plans murder a young aspiring writer ( Christopher Reeve in a decidedly different role than Superman ) for his guranteed hit of a new play.
