  Short and Sweet Review

  I am a huge DeathNote fan. I own a DeathNote, all the mangas, plushies, a tie, a messenger bag, basically you name it I probably have it. So when I found out that the first DeathNote movie was going to be shown at an anime convention I went to, I was the first inline to see it. And long story short, after seeing both the DeathNote movies I found that I hated the live actions. They dont follow the manga series at all and I was very disappointed. I dont regret seeing them, but I wish more than anything that they would have been a lot better.

  Deathnote Part 1

  I was very impressed with it. For starters the dubbing was done by the same voice actors who portrayed the characters in the animated series. All of the actors did a wonderful job depicting the quirky characters they were based off of.
  
  I hope they will release the 2nd 1/2 in the theatre as well!

  Live action anime has come a long way! If your a fan of the anime series, you must check this movie. It well done acting and effects wise. The only complaint I have is that I would have prefered it to have been subtitled.

  Loved it!!!

  I had only heard of death note through word of mouth. I walked into the movie only knowing a VERY basic outline of what the death note was and what it could do.
  
  I have to say I REALLY enjoyed the movie and I think it was VERY well done. The only fault I found was that fact that any and all of the Japanese text was NOT translated to everyone had to guess what was going on sometimes. But like I said this is the only downside (one that I think was a major fluke on someone's part). Other than that I have to say the the voice actors that dubbed the movie into English were REALLY good, and were able to really transfer the mood and emotion from one language to the other.
  
  I also have to add that the animation (in certain parts of the movie) was really well done.
  
  Overall I think this is a great movie and I honestly can't wait to see the second part. I recommend it to everyone because it actually has a good storyline that makes you think at times. :)
