Carl Schultz' made-for-television thriller Deadly Currents stars George C. Scott as a man with a secret. The former captain of a ship that exploded, Cornelius Wettering (Scott) runs a bar in Curacao. He is friendly with the head of security for the American embassy, Guerin (William Petersen). The CIA assigns Julia Fernandez (Julie Carmen) to observe Guerin.
