In many ways better than seeing Drums Across the Tri State in person. MultiCams know when and where to zoom in ahead of time. Narrators cite several interesting facts about the corps that you would not know from DATS. The sound was awesome. Not to mention seeing and hearing over two dozen of the best and most entertaining marching units in the world. It is great for all ages and all ages were there.

My son marched DCI for 4 years and it was the most fun this family ever had. We traveled all over and loved the excitement. Since then, my son after graduating from college, became a high school band director and ironically that interferes with him traveling to DCI events... Family issues have prevented us from traveling as much also and the school year has collided with these events, so now he and I and many of his students attend this event every year. It is absolutely fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the show. It is simply a blast, and watching all of the freshmans' faces when they see the performances is worth the price of the ticket.

Corps coming onto the field

Although I loved the big screen again, I was disappointed however, that since corps now "perform" prior to the actual start with the drum major, DCI announcers were chatting and DCI ads were still on the screen so we were not able to see several of the corps' true beginning, ESPECIALLY the 75th anniversary show for the MADISON SCOUTS. That was my only complaint. Glad I got to see their entire beginning at Allentown, but the ppl in the theater missed out! It was nice to get inside scoops about the corps, where their ideas came from, etc, thru the interviews and commentators. Overall, it's a great opportunity to see the corps when making the trip out to Indiana just isn't possible!

Great show!!! Our location, Mesquite AMC 30 had some issues right at the beginning of the broadcast but it came on before the first corps stepped off and everything was perfect after that. I would have liked for the audio to be up more during the intermission but again, I believe that was the local theatre and not the broadcast. Can't wait until next year! It's not the same as seeing the corps live but it is the next best thing and much better than watching at home on a small screen.

My husband marched in a corp years ago but due to several illnesses we've not been able to attend any of the live stadium events! We sat and thoroughly enjoyed the DCI Big, Loud & Live event and AMC's Showplace 16!!! If I can make only one suggestion, it would have been good to have auditorium lights up during intermission and when the program was over. It made it very difficult to see while leaving! Great night! Thank you! Looking forward to next year!
