DCI at the Theater

What a way to watch the DCI prelims.Sane excitement in theater as being live. The downside is too many close-ups so that you can't follow the show design. Besides that, a great production!

Hard to believe it's live

I've seen the vhs', dvd's, and other videos of past DCI performances, but it was awesome seeing it live in theaters! Doesn't compare to live in person, but it was very well done. I'd go again.

Wouldn't mind sitting for more corps!

Great show & wish this tech was around while I was still marching. Needed to ask to have volume increased-something several people do every year. All theaters should be ready to accommodate those requests. Adds the LOUD to Big, Loud, & Live! & puts the corps in your face.

If You Can't Go to DCI Finals...

If you couldn't go to finals, then you ought to have gone to see DCI Big, Loud, & Live 10. This "movie" experience is as close as it gets to watching drum corp from the best seats at the stadium ( without actually being in those seats). I cried through most of the corps because the performances were just that good--and the cinematography translated the whole effect that well! It is a great way to introduce new fans to the drum corps activity, too. Next year, I will insist on taking (or sending if I actually get to go to finals) more of our children's band members. Perhaps I'll even pop for some of those tickets. DCI Big, Loud, & Live is a motivator for any musician!
