Big, Loud and Live 10

So glad you offer this each year. Thanks. It was great. The volume for the corps' performances was louder than necessary. It was fixed part way through, but the commentators were hard to hear/understand. Please run an announcement before the performance starts asking folks not to text, tweet, Facebook, etc... while the corps are performing. The lights from the cell phones are so distracting and make it harder to see the screens. Alternatively, reserve the last row for folks who can't put their cell phones down. :-) Tell the theaters that there will be an intermission, so that they know to turn the house lights on while folks are up getting food and the like.

Absolutley loved it.

My son marched DCI for 4 years and it was the most fun this family ever had. We traveled all over and loved the excitement. Since then, my son after graduating from college, became a high school band director and ironically that interferes with him traveling to DCI events... Family issues have prevented us from traveling as much also and the school year has collided with these events, so now he and I and many of his students attend this event every year. It is absolutely fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the show. It is simply a blast, and watching all of the freshmans' faces when they see the performances is worth the price of the ticket.

Corps coming onto the field

Although I loved the big screen again, I was disappointed however, that since corps now "perform" prior to the actual start with the drum major, DCI announcers were chatting and DCI ads were still on the screen so we were not able to see several of the corps' true beginning, ESPECIALLY the 75th anniversary show for the MADISON SCOUTS. That was my only complaint. Glad I got to see their entire beginning at Allentown, but the ppl in the theater missed out! It was nice to get inside scoops about the corps, where their ideas came from, etc, thru the interviews and commentators. Overall, it's a great opportunity to see the corps when making the trip out to Indiana just isn't possible!

Great show!!! Our location, Mesquite AMC 30 had some issues right at the beginning of the broadcast but it came on before the first corps stepped off and everything was perfect after that. I would have liked for the audio to be up more during the intermission but again, I believe that was the local theatre and not the broadcast. Can't wait until next year! It's not the same as seeing the corps live but it is the next best thing and much better than watching at home on a small screen.

DCI at the Theater

What a way to watch the DCI prelims.Sane excitement in theater as being live. The downside is too many close-ups so that you can't follow the show design. Besides that, a great production!
