"Days of Glory" I found to be more than a "war film." The heroism, bravery and self-sacrifice of the men from Africa recruited by a Colonial power to protect that Power which did not share its benefits with the people it controlled is provocative. It transcends the normal march to war, with multiple character dimensions. Hero's are afraid, and sometimes self-serving, but nonetheless worthy of having their story told. A must see!
