I enjoyed the movie, excellent effects - definately spooky. The ending confused me though - the ending was too abrupt and I heard other people in the audience go, huh?
Other than that - good movie.

A refreshing plot twist on alien abduction theme. Very good character development, especially
well portrayed by the principal actors. Kerri Russell, the mother, did a fantastic job! Please note that this is not an "action" movie, it has a slower pace than a typical alien movie; more story development, not as much gore--but still "horrific".

Dark Skies reminded me of a darker version of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. J.K. Simmons was very believable as the expert on alien abduction. He was an intricate part of piecing the entire story together. I’m of the opinion that less is more when it comes to movies like this, so the fact that you never really saw “the greys” up close in any kind of detail, made it scarier for the audience. Keri Russell does a great job as the mom trying to hold her family together as their world is turned upside down. She’s come a long way since Felicity. I must say, I enjoyed the twist at the end but I did see it coming.

I was automatically hooked when I initially saw the trailor for this movie I thought it had a cool premise and would be very thrilling. After I saw this movie I will say I kinda felt a little cheated. The acting was ok but the story although errie at times was ultimalty dissapointing. the big twist which most of these types of movies have was weak and just made you say..OK whoop de-do. If you can hold off to rent it I would say do so but if you were captivated by the trailor such as I was then go and be prepaird to be let down.

Nothing earth-shattering that hasn't been done before. However, you wont be disappointed. On a side note...If your child tells you that he sees aliens or weird things start happening around the house. Just assume he's telling the truth from the get-go and start dealing with it instead of putzing around hoping the really odd occurrences just go away. Does it ever really work out?
