If you liked The Matrix, check this out

Finally saw this movie on DVD. It came out a year before The Matrix and must have been an influence on the makers of that great movie with some similar themes and visual styles. The story is an innovative mix of science fiction and crime thriller. Acting is decent, especially William Hurt in a strong supporting role. Definitely worth checking out.
