Wow, the guy sacrificed so much to do the role. He starved himself to near death I bet. What sacrifice, just to portrait an AIDS role. Just for this the may deserves an Oscar in my book. I personally am not crazy seeing movies of AIDS patients, simply because I want entertainment. It's depressing to see these poor souls. But.... the substance of the movie is there, as it tells so well the agony of being stricken by such illness. It's unfortunate that some people should so suffer. The movie really impressed me. A bit saddened leaving the theater, but was happy to see him playing the role in such fine form. 1.8 thumbs up!

Both McConaughey and Leto did an amazing job. The film is pretty intense, with the gritty depiction of HIV-Aids, enslaved patients and the grim self-serving medical establishment. Scary. But McConaughey's triumphant fighting spirit and street smarts were ultimately inspiring. He found a way where there was none. Loved that he lived to ride a bull after 6 years and prevail, at least for himself, in court. The blessing of human strength comes in surprising packages.

Cat lights up every scene and Jared Letto more than holds his own. The message about the beaurocracy and power wielding between the Pharmaceutical companies the the FDA creates a very worthy villain.

The movie tells an emotional story how an individual has to work around government regulations which, though well intentioned, seem to be more a barrier than a benefit for those affected. The acting was superb!

This is the best performance I have ever seen my Matthew McConnahy. I alway knew he had it in him, but his looks always got in the way. Not this time. He was wonderful and so believable. I can't say enough about this movie. Bring your Kleenex, but it is worth every minute
