this movie was made 30 yrs ago and still amazing dark and raw.al pacino was great a very daring role

  • "Cruising" bruises...

Though, personally, I would have preferred more iconoclastic, explicit limit-pushing (Pacino does not so much as kiss another man), this is my one qualm with this excellent, delightfully ambiguous (in all relevant respects) film that plays like an Italian Giallo. The work is more nihilistic than homophobic, and actually garners sympathy for the killer's supposedly aberrant victims (who are often eclipsed in depravity by the "straight" police). Pacino gives a great, uncharacteristically (and appreciably) subtle performance, and the director forces the audience to think (and provides them no easy answers). This gritty film "comes" highly recommended!

    Yawn, but it's still Pacino

This movie is just as I rememebered seeing it years ago...bad and boring. It is an interesting glimps into a gay sub-culture and hedonistic/sadistic living, but that's about it. It is worth seeing just to watch the uneasy-ness on Pacino's face, every frame. And some hot man on man action never killed anyone....well, a few in this movie ;-)
