Robert Fenz directed this experimental short subject shot along the border between the United States and Mexico. Crossings consists of a fast-paced barrage of images focusing on the lines that separate two nations and their two ways of life, as well as portraying the people traveling from one side to another. Fenz was inspired to make Crossings while working as a cinematographer on Chantal Akerman's documentary On The Other Side.
