FUN KIDS' MOVIE - NO MORE AND NO LESS PALATABLE. Grade: C-Average. (Based on advance VIP press preview)

Saturday 9/12. SILLY MANIACALLY CHARMING CUTE FUN! And THAT is the best way for me to describe this 81 min animated movie. Overall plot is so-so, Production values = average, Direction/execution/editing = good, Voice-acting = good, 3D effects = FLAT - hence, the C-average grade. Yes folks - again, the 3D effects/scenes were FLAT. And that was a major let-down for me as the rest of the movie was quite palatable. Yet again - this is THE FLATTEST 3D movie that I have seen in years! Nevertheless, overall creative design and non-stop gags/jokes saved it from D-disastrous and F-flunk. The movie's color scheme is appealing - and the action is non-stop. This is definitely a movie for kids. And as evidenced by the kids in the preview audience's reactions - they loved this movie! VERDICT: Good healthy fun movie for the kids and family. Lots of good/positive messages. Recommended - but yet again... the 3D sucks meatballs!

I am a college student and my boyfriend and I decided to go see this movie in 3D, we were definately not the only 20-some folks in the crowd and everyone was laughing the whole time. The movie is just the right length, the plot is always entertaining, and there are plenty of one-liners and funny moments. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs is great for the entire family or just a date night. Like most animated movies, it follows the same sort of plot - lighthearted funniness, something minor happens, turns in to disaster, hero saves the day - but I enjoyed every minute!

It's a cute, albeit far fetched plot with AMAZING animation.

I really enjoyed this movie. I didn't know exactly what to expect since I have never read the book from which this movie is based on. (my kids knew the story). But I was pleasantly surprised. The movie didn't try to force a laugh, it just was. The story hit home the fact that too much of a good thing can sometimes not be good. The 3-D effects were incredible. And the way the movie used the other characters was great. The Monkey rocks! Great fun for the kids and grown-ups too.
