Cloudy With A Chance of Awesome!

I am a college student and my boyfriend and I decided to go see this movie in 3D, we were definately not the only 20-some folks in the crowd and everyone was laughing the whole time. The movie is just the right length, the plot is always entertaining, and there are plenty of one-liners and funny moments. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs is great for the entire family or just a date night. Like most animated movies, it follows the same sort of plot - lighthearted funniness, something minor happens, turns in to disaster, hero saves the day - but I enjoyed every minute!

A Bit Cheesy, A Bit Corny But Extra Sides Of Laughs..... Loved It!

I really enjoyed this movie. I didn't know exactly what to expect since I have never read the book from which this movie is based on. (my kids knew the story). But I was pleasantly surprised. The movie didn't try to force a laugh, it just was. The story hit home the fact that too much of a good thing can sometimes not be good. The 3-D effects were incredible. And the way the movie used the other characters was great. The Monkey rocks! Great fun for the kids and grown-ups too.

    Fun for families

It's a cute, albeit far fetched plot with AMAZING animation.

The best surprise of the summer!

My friend and I (both in our mid 20s) decided to see this movie because the preview looked amusing and we both loved the book as children. We went in not expecting too much, thinking that there was no way to turn such a delightful book into a movie without ruining it. We couldn't have been more wrong. From the opening scene that shows a "Nikola Tesla: Rock Star Inventor" poster to the delightful ending, we could not stop laughing. We laughed much louder than the kids in the audience. The reason for this, I believe, is that the writers really knew what they were writing about. My friend and I were both nerdy children and are now proudly nerdy adults. Everything the main character was going through was something we could relate to. We wanted him to succeed because he represented all of the picked on nerdy kids, he represented US.
Also, and I cannot possibly explain this well enough, we fell in love with Steve.
This is the best movie of the summer. Eat that, Tarantino!

    Worth every Penny!

This movie was Great! My whole family went to see this in 3D and I have to say I was a wonderful story and extremely funny. Not just kiddie funny, but full funny for adults as well, so much so that I would go and see this one again all by myself. I remember this story from when I was a child and this imagining of it was wonderful. It was truly worth every penny we spent last night.

    Quirky fun!

One of the most silly and often times just plain weird (in the most entertaining of ways) animated films I've seen in quite a while. My 4-year-old daughter loved it, and I enjoyed some of the not-so-thinly veiled cultural commentary. The pacing was perfect, at a trim hour and 20 minutes, and the cast of voice actors was spot-on. With such up-and-coming talents as Andy Samberg and Bill Hader, teamed with great casting in Neil Patrick Harris,James Caan and especially Mr. T (!!!) the characters were diverse and energetically represented. With a touching thread running throughout, dealing with the difficult relationship between blue-collar dad and geeky science-loving son, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs offers a degree of depth and originality not often on display in family fare... wholly recommended!

    Very Creative

This is a great movie! Funny and creative... I was having a very stressed out Wednesday afternoon and went to see it with my husband... not many people on the movies at the time... and still we had a blast. I would have liked to see it on 3-D... Great family movie! The kids that were there laughed a lot...

Cloudy with A Chance of Family Entertainment?!

This was a cutesy movie that had no sex, graphic language, adult situations, partial nudity, or violence. WHAT?!!! Yes, it is true. Attending the first day showing, my kids and I crowded into a theatre full of screaming and talking little kids to see this fun flick. The plot is almost non-existant but reminds me of Jimmy Neutron boy scientist meets ugling duckling turned swan/girl next door.

Filled with a pictures of food, funny overstated characters, and a few 3D graphics that make that extra $3 per ticket worth it.... I suggest you pack up the herd, chip in for the 3D this time, and go and enjoy!

Family messages/themes: Parents love their kids and proud of them no matter what path they choose, ugly ducklings grow into swans, it is okay to be smart, and friends help friends.

By the way, the best part of the movie is actually in the rolling credits at the end when they use beautiful colors, music, and 3D effects while the audience is pouring out of the theatre. !!!

Hilarious and temperate climate for all ages--Must see!

I took my niece to see CWACOM, 3-D, and it was nothing but an exciting time for the both of us. The 3-D gave it an extra boost and, being that it was both my niece and I's first 3-D movie, it only made the experience more memorable individually and as a family.
