Went to an early evening showing that had lots of families present of most younger ages. My son and I enjoyed it, as did most of the families. Very little distraction - all kids were watching and enjoying the movie.

This movie was incredibly cute! A must see for all ages!! We loved the first movie, so much so that my son has worn out his DVD - this will also be a DVD buy and a definite keeper! I highly recommend! :)

Going to a kids movie is never my favorite thing but I have to say I truly enjoyed it. It was funny, colorful, creative and better than the first. My daughter (8) loved it and laughed the whole time. Definitely check it out. Story line took a bit to come together but there was enough to entertain while it did.

Great character and production design

The creativity of the food characters and sets makes up for a fairly weak story line. My kids really liked it, but not something that was terribly memorable for them.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1 was a novel movie about an inventor who creates a machine that can make food out of water in the atmosphere. It was fun to watch, even though it was a little hard to imagine. The kids loved it (6 & 10 years old). Usually the sequel movie doesn't fare as well, as the novel idea is just beat to death. Kind of like a "Saturday Night Live" sketch that is extended into a movie. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 tries to get around that with the machine not being disabled during the first movie, but instead modifying into a "Jurassic Park" take off. The food becomes live creatures. It was fun to watch, but the concept was a little hard to handle. It was kind of God like. The kids loved it.
