We laughed, still like the 1st better but still a good movie. Especially for kids over age of 5. The ending scene's not too appropriate for those under 5 --- jokes more for adults & older children.

I have two boys, 8 and 4, and they laughd through the movie. It was cute and I enjoyed it. When we were leaving the boys asked if we could buy the movie as soon as it comes out so they can watch it again and again.

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 was a delightful movie that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. The story was engaging and absorbing, and the characters compelling. The animation was excellent and very creative. My young son and both my wife and I had a great time. I wasn't certain what the plot for a would be, but it was a good story. CWCM2 was at least as fun as the first one.

Has it's moments... kids will love it, grown-ups will be amused.

The sheer creative genius involved in coming up with some of these food-imal names and characters was awesome (Su-sheep... taco-dile... brilliant)! The plot, however, was pure formulaic and the pace dragged in parts. There were enough clever double entendre jokes to keep the adults laughing while going right over the kids' heads. The cinematography and artistry were beautiful and a joy to watch. Definitely stay through the credits. For me, the funniest gag in the whole film was in there, when the food-imals gather to watch a horror film. Not spoiling any further...

Cloudy 2 is a sunny movie

The return of screwball inventor Flint Lockwood and his friends will be a pleasure for all those who wondered if they could follow the extremely funny "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs". This sequel delivers solid laughs, both visual and verbal. The film gently pushes a moral -"Trust in yourself and your friends, and there comes a time to cast off old idols and strike off on your own" - that comes naturally as you watch. Kids will love the bright colors of the jungle-ized Swallow Island, the animal-vegetable hybrids, and the elastic-bodied humans (especially villain Chester V). Adults will love the wordplay (even the worst puns), guessing the animal names (for example, hippotatoes, mosquitoast, and shrimpanzees), and some of the early scenes in a pastel City of San Fran Jose. So: if you're an adult, go; if you're an adult with kids, go; and if you're a kid, STEVE!
