I REALLY enjoyed the first Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. This may sound crazy, but Part 2 was one of my most anticipated movies of 2013.
Part 2 is not as good as Part 1, but I did find it totally worth the watch. Without being based on an actual book like Part 1, the "made for the movies" story of Part 2 is less creative.
Part 2 revolves heavily around food puns and thwarting a villian that seems to be modeled after Steve Jobs (right down to the jeans and black shirt)
This movie held the attention of the children in the theater. The two things parents might have issues with are the use of the terms "BS" USB and Crab balls (where one might say "crap") The former will fly over the heads of young children. The latter might not.
Part 2 is very funny and entertaining, but with less creativity and magic than Part 1.
The story continues into the credits and there is a small scene in the middle of the credits
If you like my reviews, add me. I'll add you back!

loved to see all the animals they created with food. The colors were so beautiful. I liked it a lot just wish it was a little longer.

We've come to expect that out of these types of films.. humor just barely above what a kid supposedly will understand. The jokes were good, the action was good. I wasnt thrilled they replace Mr. T, but thats fine.
We really enjoyed ourselves, cute story line. My only problem was this:
We get raunchy jokes, clearly aimed at above the kids level, but yet we get nothing as far as the obvious romance betwen Flint and Sam, in fact some of the lines felt like they were grasping at straws to try and find another way of saying she loves him.
Why are we able to get raunchy jokes, but romance is "not allowed"?

Loved the movie. I was a bit skeptical about seeing this movie, but it is just as great as the first one. The kids were entertained the whole time. I definitely recommend going to watch it!

We laughed, still like the 1st better but still a good movie.
Especially for kids over age of 5.
The ending scene's not too appropriate for those under 5 --- jokes more for adults & older children.
