My Husband, Son and I just recently watched this movie. We loved it! My son was enthralled and laughed the whole movie long. My husband and I also enjoyed quite a few laughs. For us, it was money well spent.

The return of screwball inventor Flint Lockwood and his friends will be a pleasure for all those who wondered if they could follow the extremely funny "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs". This sequel delivers solid laughs, both visual and verbal.
The film gently pushes a moral -"Trust in yourself and your friends, and there comes a time to cast off old idols and strike off on your own" - that comes naturally as you watch.
Kids will love the bright colors of the jungle-ized Swallow Island, the animal-vegetable hybrids, and the elastic-bodied humans (especially villain Chester V). Adults will love the wordplay (even the worst puns), guessing the animal names (for example, hippotatoes, mosquitoast, and shrimpanzees), and some of the early scenes in a pastel City of San Fran Jose.
So: if you're an adult, go; if you're an adult with kids, go; and if you're a kid, STEVE!

This movie was incredibly cute! A must see for all ages!! We loved the first movie, so much so that my son has worn out his DVD - this will also be a DVD buy and a definite keeper! I highly recommend! :)

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1 was a novel movie about an inventor who creates a machine that can make food out of water in the atmosphere. It was fun to watch, even though it was a little hard to imagine. The kids loved it (6 & 10 years old).
Usually the sequel movie doesn't fare as well, as the novel idea is just beat to death. Kind of like a "Saturday Night Live" sketch that is extended into a movie.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 tries to get around that with the machine not being disabled during the first movie, but instead modifying into a "Jurassic Park" take off. The food becomes live creatures. It was fun to watch, but the concept was a little hard to handle. It was kind of God like. The kids loved it.

This movie was just as good (if not better) than the first one. The humor was perfect -funny for kids and adults. Definitely a MUST GO!!
