I REALLY enjoyed the first Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. This may sound crazy, but Part 2 was one of my most anticipated movies of 2013.
Part 2 is not as good as Part 1, but I did find it totally worth the watch. Without being based on an actual book like Part 1, the "made for the movies" story of Part 2 is less creative.
Part 2 revolves heavily around food puns and thwarting a villian that seems to be modeled after Steve Jobs (right down to the jeans and black shirt)
This movie held the attention of the children in the theater. The two things parents might have issues with are the use of the terms "BS" USB and Crab balls (where one might say "crap") The former will fly over the heads of young children. The latter might not.
Part 2 is very funny and entertaining, but with less creativity and magic than Part 1.
The story continues into the credits and there is a small scene in the middle of the credits
If you like my reviews, add me. I'll add you back!

I take my grandchildren to see all the kids' movies that come out and usually love them. This one, however, I found to move very slowly, and when we did our usual rating system at the end of the meeting, even my grandchildren said it moved slower than they would have liked.

It was okay, entertaining. Not as good as the first one by far. All the monsters' names with food analogies got a little old.

This was not as entertaining as the first one. Too many food puns. May be great for kids but not as much in it for adults.

Very Very Cute movie. Loved looking for all the little things. And the leek joke never seemed to get old. My autistic son wanted to see this very badly and enjoyed himself like crazy.
