Cloud Atlas is an amazing film! The story is brilliant and time flies through this movie because it is so good. The make-up department should win awards for this one. Actilng is superb. Best film I've seen all year. Worth the money and worth seeing it on a big screen.

This story and motion picture is so timely in when we as a body of humans are in high need of waking up and realizing that we are all connected and that our causes effect everyone and ourselves in a very deep way.
I highly recommend this movie as theater going experience, especially if you want some inspiration to change your life path.

I haven't read the book bkz friends say it's difficult to follow and the rewards are doubtful. Why see the movie then? Wasn't planning on it until a friend--who has read the book--suggested we go. Monday night, nothing else going on so yeah i went. Those expensive movie hot dogs are tasty. Dude, I was blown a-way. The movie is like a weird trip, with all these stories starting and stopping and continuing and bumping into each other on the way to the conclusion and a Message. I liked the Message but won't tell you what it is bkz that would be distilling the liquor down to like not even a taste. So, am damn glad I went out on a Monday night and saw this flick I had no interest in. And yeah the hot dog was good.

This one has something for everyone. The several stories interweave nicely. I like how the actors played multiple parts. In some ways better than the book, it highlighted more of the parallels between stories and cut out some stuff that was not needed. The book was good, too, of course, just a bit different. Very rich visually, it even looks expensive to make. Nice job(s) on an ambitious project(s)!

I went into this movie really wanting to like what I was about to watch. It started off scatterbrained, mostly just to introduce the characters, but after the initial pile on of characters and timeline stories, nothing really changed.
Every time some "profound" point came across, it was so obvious, and really just common sense, that it didn't feel like any sort of commendation was in order.
Big corporations can be evil, slavery is bad, greed kills, yadda yadda. You might as well just watch a movie explaining that lighting yourself on fire is a bad idea, because duh, it is.
My drive home was spent trying to figure out if i disliked Prometheus or Cloud Atlas more.. yay.
