Lots of story in this movie - highly original though you may need to see it a few times to truly get it all. Jim Broadbent is absolutely brilliant in this!

Fond this movie to be very hard to follow. One of the most disappointing movies I've seen this year. Went to an IMAX theater to see it expecting to be blown away and walk away disappointed. Would not bring my children to see this film.

A Stretch of the Brain but Worth It

I admit I couldn't follow all the plot interconnections as the movie unfolded. I then read a plot synopsis that contained them and it was very enlightening. I'll watch the movie again with these connections in my head and expect to enjoy it just as much if not more.

Great acting but the story was difficult to follow, depressing and more gun-in-mouth suicides,, throat slicing and gore killing than I care to see. I almost walked out a few times but made myself see it til the end in case it got better...should have left.

Poorly crafted sci-fi extravaganza

There are parts (and moments) in this movie that are thrilling. For example, there's a futuristic world of barely human servants that's extraordinary. I really liked some of the action fight sequences, which are arguably as innovative as those in The Matrix when you first see it. And the story surrounding the rebels is really great. It's also worth mentioning that the actors do a terrific job and have great parts to play. Unfortunately, there are also a couple of disjointed stories and poorly thought out characters that are someone agonizing to watch. All of the different stories in various time periods seem oddly connected, but they do come together rather nicely. Still, you will experience some agony while waiting for the connections to be made and some of the scenes and characters detract from the overall experience of watching this film.
