    Excellent film making, absorbing documentary

Even if you don't think you'll like the subject matter of Client 9, you will find yourself totally absorbed in the compelling drama of the Eliot Spitzer story. Extensive interviews with Mr Spitzer himself, along with the high level Wall Street and political insiders, as well as the dubious women of the night who directly impacted his career, offer a fast-moving life and blood portrayal of this complex man. Spitzer emerges as a high minded politician with lofty progressive values, albeit a man with a devastating character flaw; a politician whose brazen efforts at Wall Street reform, had they been implemented, may have saved us from today's economic debacle. With astonishingly high approval ratings, Spitzer once had a golden opportunity to capture the White House. Then scandal hit, and Spitzer's Wall Street enemies and the media set fire to his reputation and all came tumbling down. Client 9 is a totally authentic, well-balanced documentary, and story telling at its unflagging best.

Great Portrait of a flawed human.

This gave a full picture of Elliot Spitzer with all his flaws and assets. It was well done and always held your interest. It becomes evident that Elliot Spitzer's failings deprived all of us of a great champion for the tax payer and investor. A truly sad story for all of us.

Client 9 more than the others

Sex and an accessible villain make this a big improvement over Inside Job. The interviews and explanations are simpler and more colorful as well. The title refers to the indictment's anonymous descriptions of customers of the Emperor Escort service which devoted many more pages to Client 9, Governor Spitzer, than the others. Hindsight is still twenty-twenty, but this expose is less vindictive - the perps get every opportunity to explain themselves. It's refreshing to see former governor Spitzer turn down opportunities to blame someone else. Inside Job makes you feel like you should be taking notes, but Client 9 includes nudity and language you probably couldn't show to a high school class.
