Best Movie This Year So Far

I just saw this advertised on TV this week and went to see it on a whim. (I did read one or two user reviews). It was an excellent movie. I don't even really like Andy Garcia that much, but he was great! Everyone did an excellent job in the movie. It covered some serious subjects, but in a very adultly humorous way. It was very funny and is the kind of movie that makes you think about it later and appreciate it even more. I left the theater uplifted and feeling good...

Most impressive; U are so completely swept away by the perfect blend of actors, direction, cinematography, storyline - that it isn't until quite some time after the film - once you're laughter has calmed to an occasional chuckle - that U begin to consider the fabulous performances delivered by everyone involved, who took U on the best ride U've been on in a LONG, long time! Julianna Margulies has perfect comedic timing. In the blink of an eye, she displays a complex yet radically different relationship with everyone else in the room. Within the same breath, she plays to these differences between husband, son, daughter, & an unwelcome visitor to her dinner table. Bringing even more complexity and intrigue to the film, these complex relationships change - & change again - throughout the film. Andy Garcia is BRILLIANT - The sweet presence of Emily Mortimer adds elements of grace & surprise. I wish I had more room! March 19 release is LIMITED; be PATIENT but FIND A WAY 2 go SEE THIS FILM!

Funny, touching, enjoyable if a bit hokey

This film had some clever, funny moments. It definitely held my interest. Some bits were a little far-fetched and inauthentic, but the story was original and it worked. Good acting, many laughs throughout, but also touching.I definitely give it 3 out of 4 stars. An enjoyable way to spend 1 1/2 hours.

Good movie about a family that is not necessarily dysfunctional , but one that is hiding many secrets. Really good cast with Andy Garcia a standout as the father trying to keep it all together. Good for all but really young.
