  Best Movie This Year So Far

  I just saw this advertised on TV this week and went to see it on a whim. (I did read one or two user reviews). It was an excellent movie. I don't even really like Andy Garcia that much, but he was great! Everyone did an excellent job in the movie. It covered some serious subjects, but in a very adultly humorous way. It was very funny and is the kind of movie that makes you think about it later and appreciate it even more. I left the theater uplifted and feeling good...

  Andy Garcia has come of age

  City Island would be a fabulous movie on its own, but with Andy Garcia and Julianna Margulies the film movies into classic territory. I was amazed at how Mr. Garcia completely fell into the Bronx persona of the head of the Rizzo family. He gives an emotional performance second to none.
  
  The location shooting adds an immeasurable accuracy to the little town of City Island and its inhabitants.
  
  The movie has several twists and turns that add to the enjoyment. Many people are talking about this film and recommending it to their friends. This film deserves a lot more attention.

  Good Soundtrack too!

  Good movie about a family that is not necessarily dysfunctional , but one that is hiding many secrets. Really good cast with Andy Garcia a standout as the father trying to keep it all together. Good for all but really young.
