Cirque at its best

Not a movie proper, but a selection of highlights from several ongoing Cirque shows. A great way to be dazzled for the price of a movie ticket.

Imagine Fantasia, but not done with animation, but with special effects, music, and the most amazing circus performers. Surprisingly moving. A great movie.

Some familiar scenes, Don't read if you don't want to be spoiled.

I love love love Cirque Du Soleil and have seen most of the shows in Vegas except Elvis and O. Well if you are like me and have seen most of their shows, this movie won't be that exciting since they use some of their best scenes from their popular Vegas shows and put them all in a movie and gave it a 3D edge. Once I realized this I was so hoping they would give us a glimpse of the new Michael Jackson Immortal show which hits the Vegas strip in late 2013, but no luck. I did enjoy the 'O' scenes since I haven't seen that show. The Elvis segment was only one scene from the show where they did five Beatles scenes. Over all it was just so so.

Very different kind of movie. NO dialogue. Spectacular production. And since I don't plan to ever drop $150 on the live show this 3D version is a great option. I was in awe at some of the things these performers can do.
