The lesson of the film seems to be that the way to show your love and to prove you are a man is to get beaten to a pulp. The whole story was pretty silly, and humor bordered on slapstick. Go see Veer Zara if you want to see SRK in a romantic film with great music.

To all those who complain about routine movie, you guys are bunch of "snobs". Good story, and more than anything hilarious comedy, clean family fun without any double meaning dialogs. Casting is superb. Deepika looks like an authentic Tamilian and the accent couldn't have been better. Not sure if she spoke herself or someone else.
Though a routine story and ending, what makes it special is cinematography, comedy, and acting of both Sharukh and Deepika.
Even the cast who played the roles of Deepikas cousins (the big madrasi gundas) are so quintessential and adorable.
I am not a Sharukh or Deepika's fan. But if you are looking for some relaxing family fun this movie is for you.

Shah rukh khaan not acting as himself for a change. Deepika fits in the role nicely. Her typical tamil accent is flawless. Nowhere she seems like overacting. The story takes fairly unpredictable turn of events. All not too much dramatic except one or two evens. Nice songs that would keep humming in your mind. Music is good.

Shahrukh Khan allures the south India audience. No stones unturned to make it big. Srk puts himself in humbled situation and gives chance to the costar actress to show guts to run the story forward. Comedy Romance Cultureclash herd-emotions all play out so well the movies seems to be a must go for people who know there is a Regal cinema hall nearby.
