John Cleese won an Emmy for his performance as eminent British marriage counselor Dr. Simon Finch-Royce in this episode. Upon learning that Finch-Royce is an old college chum of Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer), Diane prevails upon the good doctor to have a pre-nuptial session with herself and Sam (Ted Danson).
