Screen veteran Gary Busey (The Buddy Holly Story, The Gingerdead Man) narrates this foray into the lives and experiences of eight young men and women from Huntington Beach, California, vying against the odds for a professional surfing career. En route, each contestant must contend not only with the physical hazards of the sport, but with high expectations of parents, challenging and overwhelming educational curricula and the competition factor that pits the subjects against one another.
