Prakash Jha delivers yet another gripping drama focused on a topical social issue and manages to keep a dark subject fairly lively and entertaining. Chakravyuh educates amateurs about the Naxalite movement across India but never gets into documentary mode. A tight script is backed by solid performances, as is expected by a talented cast comprising of Om Puri (impactful), Manoj Bajpayee (Subdued but apt), Abhay Deol (natural) and Arjun Rampal (energetic). Action sequences are brilliantly shot and compliment the pace. However there are a few flaws which ensure that this is nowhere near Jha's best: insufficient character build up for Abhay, a very weak female lead (Esha Gupta) and a hurried finale. Songs are average and unwanted for most part.
Regardless, I recommend this to all bollywood fans of this genre.

It is a "must watch" movie. Thanks for releasing in US and that too in Albany, NY. It is a very rare opportunity in US to watch such kind of hindi movie. All we get to watch in US, is Karan Johar's wedding albums in the form of hindi movies.
