As a big fan of the genre and with so little of it being offered, I was very much looking forward to, but terribly disappointed in, seeing Centurian. There was one unbelievably cliched and outright goofy situation after another with characters, story lines and devices lifted directly from the 2004 "King Arthur" and "Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid"--especially Butch and Sundance, complete with the "relentless tracker" ("Who IS that guy?" being replaced with "HOW does she do it?") and "the escape" (running up a mountainside with their pursuers right behind only to find themselves teetering on the edge of a cliff with no choice but to jump into the river far below). But it was interesting to learn that the barbarian Pic women of 2nd century Scotland had such fabulous eye makeup. My recommendation- skip this one.

Epic Bloodsoaked Battle For Survival

Not your typical Hollywood "Gladiator" production. A vivid history lesson; authentic, magnificent scenery, great action, fine acting (for the most part). Highly recommend.

This is a full-on, no holds barred, showing of war and battle. It is very bloody and violent and in your face during the battle scenes. But there are moments of humanity and emotion interspersed throughout the film.
The director has given you a tough choice... you don't really know who's side of the story you want to root for. They both have merit, and they both have faults.
If you have a weak stomach, then pass on this one. Otherwise take the trip and enjoy the ride! As they say... it's not the destination, it's the journey.
