The action and battle scenes were thrilling, and the cinematography was stunning. This was a quest film that drew heavily from both Gladiator and Braveheart, and fans of those films will also love this one. The attack on the 9th legion in the forest seemed a bit implausible--would Romans really have allowed themselves to be led into an obvious dead end that way? However, the fact that the relentless villain was an intriguing and powerful woman made up for the implausibility of that scene. This was an extremely enjoyable movie!
