Cassandra's Dream is a Nightmare!
Twisted, twisted story. (Kinda like Woody's own life) 2 working class blokes/brothers one weak/one strong? right/wrong? reaching for the brass ring and fall off the pony. Nice acting. I especially like the self centered little girl friend.
Wait for the video.

Not Woody's Best
This is no Match Point. Slow, plodding, and oh so predictable. It still gets points for the performances by Wilkinson and McGregor. Farrel, on the other hand, was struggling to look both weak and menacing at the same time.

Okay
This movie was good but not great. Match Point was much better.

Cassandra's Dream
This is a very well-acted, absorbing story, but it certainly doesn't send you out of the theater with a light heart! Not a single laugh to be found!

Cassandras Dream
I am a Woody Allen fan and aside from Scoop I would recommend all of his films including Cassandras Dream for its superb acting and interesting story lines. Woodys interest in loyalty is again the theme and greed as cause for disloyaty. This time, as in Crimes and Misdemeanors, has to do with ultimate loyalty between brothers. Also, loyalty between parents and children, couples, extended family members, and siblings. He does a great job directing as usual and the typical covertible with the happy couple in the country. The music was Glass and wonderful.

Thoroughly pedestrian....
A great opportunity to see a group of fine actors sleepwalk their way through an uninspired story. Not exactly worth the cost of admission, but one could easily endure much worse, I suppose.
