Greatest romantic B&W film of all time

I have seen Casablanca many times on TV, but his was the first time to view it on the big screen. The movie takes on a new feel on the larger screen, the characters seem larger than life as they were intended to.
Life was turned upside down for all western Europe as Germany's invasion moved toward the Atlantic coast. Casablanca was the place for the desperate and the opportunists. The people in Casablanca did not live there, they survived there, one day at a time. You were able to feel that struggle for survival much better seeing it on the big screen.
Everyone knows the story, but it a much more memorable experience on the big screen than on the TV in your bedroom. If you have the opportunity to see it in a theater it is worth the trip, you'll better appreciate why it has lasted and become a classic.

I love that mainstream theaters are starting to show classic movies in all their glory. My hubby and I went to see this as an early Valentine's treat. What more can you say? It's Casablanca. Highly recommended and go see more classics on the big screen.
