Captain Phillips

The movie was good. However, I was disappointed that the picture did not fill the IMAX screen entirely. I've seen multiple documentaries on that very IMAX screen, and the screen was filled. Is this because of the resolution of the film? Does a film have to be produced in IMAX form to have the IMAX screen filled?

Kind of angered me that it took so long for any response to happen and that the pirates had another day to attack the ship and that these ships have no other way of defending themselves other than hoses... really? Great movie. Tom Hanks rocks, as always. Can't wait to see Inferno.

Great direction, acting, cinematography and script writing are just several of the many reasons to see Tom Hanks' best movie performance in several years. He shows why he is a movie star of enduring artistry. This is an enthralling movie that doesn't shirk its responsibility to be fair to all of its characters.

I had a hard time with the hard line violent theme, I don't usually call it entertainment when it seems more violence than anything else -- Tom Hanks was awesome to do justice to this re-enactment. (The bad guys were really "good" too - scary enough to be almost a thriller!) Take into account that this was based on a true experience I would say Bravo to the real Captain Phillips. -- So in a nutshell if you love historical re-enactments of a story of a horrible circumstance and if you love Tom Hanks then it is a Must GO!
