Awesome movie! I really liked the first Captain America movie, and this one is even better! Typical witty banter, amazing chase and action sequences, and plot twists and turns. Some of the twists were predictable but not in a bad they got there was interesting. It left a large amount of mystery surrounding the origins of Black Widow - here's hoping she gets her own solo movie! The end also leaves us to wonder - where do they go from here? Can't wait for Avengers 2! Oh, and be sure to wait through ALL the credits as there are TWO of the usual Marvel surprises, one of which might set up some element of Avengers 2.

Winter Soldier raises the bar

After the slight letdowns of Iron Man 3 and Thor: Dark World, Captain America: Winter Soldier sees the return of the most iconic Avenger. Coupled with the Black Widow and later the Falcon, this film is more a political thriller filled with intrigue and behind-the-scenes machinations from critical players. Chocked full of peripheral characters from the books and other films, as well as passing references to characters still to be seen, it did not disappoint. This surpassed the first Iron Man and Cap movies for sheer enjoyment and rivaled the Avengers stand-alone movie, as well. Just a great movie. It will take multiple viewings for everything to sink in.

One of the Very Best Action Movies Ever

This sequel did what very few sequels do -- it outstripped the movies before it! The acting, the plot, the screenplay were ALL incredibly good. I unqualifiedly recommend it.

Go See It !!

I took my 14 year old son to watch this movie this weekend because both he and I are avid Marvel comic book movie fans in every way, shape and form. I mostly wanted to see Scarlett Johansson in all her glory, but I digress. The movie continues from where the first movie, The First Avenger, leaves off. It's been three years, so I had to go back and watch the first movie after watching this one to help fill in some of the pieces. This movie is full of action, and patriotism just the way I like it. The acting, directing, cinematography and writing were excellent. This movie is 2 hrs and 8 mins long and I didn't even notice. It's unfortunate that Captain America does not age, as I would have liked for his budding relationship to continue with Peggy Carter (actress Hayley Atwell) - she's absolutely stunning in the first movie. But as with all Superheroes, there's work to be done and not much time for relationships. Can't wait for the next Avengers movie.

Holy Entertainment!

Where do I start... let's try the beginning! This movie is perfectly paced, as it does an excellent job of piecing together moments of story development and insane action sequences to round out what is a very entertaining, thrilling, and exciting movie playing out on the big screen. Interestingly enough, though it is a Marvel Superhero movie, it doesn't actually FEEL like a Marvel Superhero movie. It's hard to explain this entirely but the story does such a good job of keeping you on your toes, that the superhero aspects of the movie almost play second fiddle to the story, and that's not a bad thing! An excellent homage to Captain America, the quintessential leader of the Avengers. This movie finally does justice (no pun intended) to showing all the qualities, attributes and 'powers' that make Cap, Cap. Arguably the best Marvel movie amongst The Avengers, Iron Man, and this one. Must see!
