Message to director(s): please put the camera down. I can't wait until cinéma vérité (aka "queasy cam") goes out of style. It is extremely distracting and nothing more than a lazy director's substitute for well-choreagraphed action sequences. Case in point: compare the beautifully crisp and electric fight scenes in the first "Borne" movie vs the migraine-spawning shaky cam versions in the second and third Borne movies.
Shaky cam was the difference between a "Go" and a "Must go" rating for "Winter Soldier."

While offering all of the action, explosions, and general butt-kicking you expect in a Marvel movie, the depth of the characters and storyline is far more intricate than any of the prior series. Characters are forced to evaluate whether their actions are doing more harm than good - both to their beliefs and to the world. The complex relationship between good, evil, free choice and orderly safety is a key element of the movie. As a viewer, you find yourself asking the same questions the characters are.
Jung and Nietzsche aside, the move is thoroughly entertaining and definitely worth the money. About the only thing off-putting is the Michael Bay-style contestant camera motion relative to the characters. It can be a bit dizzying at times.

I wanted to like this movie. The camera style was totally shaky and unsteady. It never rested at all. It made my stomach turn. All the fight and action scenes were so shaky that for all I know the actors weren't even in the shot. It's time for the big studios to end this kind of filming. It's annoying and unnecessary. I couldn't even stay to finish it.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier deals with the character of Steve Rogers navigating his new life in Washington D.C. along with his fellow co-workers. It appears that both Captain America and his “work peers” become targets due to knowing too much about the affiliations of the agency that they are based at. Chris Evans, Samuel Jackson, Scarlett Johannsson, Robert Redford, and Anthony Mackie star in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
