Camp
This is an endearing movie. The beginning grips your heart as you see the literally wasted life of both mother and son. Then you get to see a self-centered rich, young stud agreeing to be part of a camp that is the only solice for any of the kids attending. As a kid's minister, I got pretty angry at the main character Ken Matthews (Michael Mattera). But that made it even better to see the change in both Ken and his camper, Eli.
This is a must see. You will cry, you will laugh, you will be amazed that this is all based on a camper's real life experience. AND almost half of the proceeds go to support this camp.
And what a boon for the lead actor Michael Mattera, who played his part SO well, even though it was his first lead in a major motion picture!
Wish we had more movies like this one.
Take the time to enjoy this movie. It had limited release and little advertising. But you will love it!
BTW parents, there is a bit of minor profanity, but no more than you see on TV.
