Liza was incredible. Her connection with Joel Gray was magical. Bob Fossee's coreography was beyond anything for its time and now. His direction was great. The most surprising thing for me was how current and topical it felt. The part with the Hitler's Brown Shirts singing gave me the creeps. Just channge the names and it could be used in our present world. Germany pre WWII leaves alot to compare to our world situations today. It should give us pause. THe acting really hit the mark and went above. In a few of her numbers I heard Liza but I also "heard" a little bit of Judy.. The movie really was a treat.

I grew up watching Cabaret on the small screen-it was great to see it the way all good movie musicals should be-on the big screen.
