Stallone Failure

I went into this movie knowing it was probably going to be a rugged man move like the Expendables. Usually, that sort of movie is a good movie theater man flick. I was very mistaken. The plot was extremely lacking. Stallone played a macho hit-man that has a problem with authority and seeks vengeance on his hit-man partner that was killed. There is NO character development and just back acting (except for Stallone and a couple others). Bottom line, don't waste your money, if anything wait for Redbox but honestly, you would be wasting your money there too.

Good 'Ole Stalone Movie!

This was a passable Stalone movie, which felt a tad bit watered-down. The script was good to very-good. However, I guess the lack of a soundtrack made the movie less dramatic. There are a couple of good explosions, so that was nice. If you want to take a girl to a Action-Adventure movie, this one is it! It was moderately entertaining. For example, if it were on Netflix, I'd probably watch it again. I would not buy another movie-theater ticket to see it again, though.

I was surprised I liked it as much as I did, because he really CAN'T act! It was entertaining, and held my interest. The part suited him.

Stallone Delivers...

Smart, great, well written movie. Old fashion shoot 'em up with a twist. And even though Stallone is 66 he carries off the action guy so much better than Schwartzenegger or any of the other "old timers". And Stallone can act....he can say so much with just a simple grunt or scowl. My Chinese partner and I loved the "Asian" jokes, not PC but funny anyway. T

The old guy still has it

A fun romp around New Orleans blowing things up. Shooting bad guys. Funny one liners. Sly is an old guy small time criminal drawn into a DC cop's search for a major crime boss. DC cop is clueless about New Orleans or the extent of the criminal enterprise run by a cruel, ruthless African immigrant with an even more cruel and ruthless henchman. What's not to like?
